SLC’s Cornwall community made significant strides in restoring and protecting the campus shoreline this fall. Last October, first-year Environmental Technician students, the River Institute, and Watersheds Canada’s Natural Edge Team joined forces on a shoreline restoration on the Cornwall campus. 

Are you curious about the fascinating world of applied research? Whether you're an experienced researcher or simply curious, Applied Research 101 is your gateway to the dynamic research landscape at SLC!  Thanks to an exciting partnership with Mohawk College, this engaging and insightful course is now available to everyone at SLC interested in deepening their research knowledge. 

On November 15th, Aba Mortley, program coordinator, Esthetics, and Ekta Singh, program coordinator for Health Care Administration, had the privilege of representing St. Lawrence College and participating in the Black, Racialized, and Indigenous Student Career Fair hosted by the Boys and Girls Club Southeast Kingston. The event, organized by Grade 12 student Ayesha Bukhari in collaboration with the equity team at the Limestone District School Board, brought together inspiring leaders and advocates from the community, including Aba Mortley, Mona Rahman, Jason Morningstar, and Peng Seng Cau. 

First-year Environmental Technician students from St. Lawrence College have completed a series of impactful Environmental Sustainability Action Projects as part of their course, ENVI 1000: Environmental Issues and Solutions. These projects showcased the students' dedication to promoting sustainability while engaging meaningfully with the Cornwall community.

Thank you to SLC community members who participated in the Cano program in 2024! Small changes lead to significant impact when we work together. Use the free Cano when you visit any SLC cafeteria and contribute to reduced waste to landfills.
