St. Lawrence College hosted the Centre for Innovation on Campus Mental Health's (CICMH) annual Eastern Regional Forum at the College's Kingston Campus on January 31, 2024. Approximately 20 delegates from SLC, other post-secondary institutions, and community organizations from Eastern Ontario were present, including University of Ottawa, Trent Durham Student Association, Loyalist College, Collège la Cité, Pathways to Education, Durham Rape Crisis Centre, Ontario Shores Centre, and Canadian Mental Health Association, Haliburton.

SLC is pleased to launch a new part-time Cybersecurity program tailored for individuals seeking a flexible and accommodating way to acquire crucial skills in combatting cyber threats. This graduate certificate program provides a well-rounded mix of theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in this growing field. 

On Thursday, February 1 the Off-Campus Housing Department hosted a SpacesShared Information Session in the Innovation Hub (Kingston Campus). SpacesShared is a home sharing technology platform that matches students looking for safe and affordable housing with older adults interested in sharing their home.

In an exciting initiative this term, students in our Esthetics program embarked on a fascinating journey into the realm of chemistry, exploring the science behind the skincare products they use professionally. The program's initial stages introduced them to fundamental chemical concepts including types of matter, mixture classification, chemical bonding, and pH levels.

On Thursday, January 18th, second-year Advertising Marketing Communications (AMC) students and Media Arts Fundamentals students attended Converge 2024: Navigating Trends at the Intersection of Arts, Media and Design, a panel featuring industry professionals, each equipped with years of experience to share.
