Join the SLC Sustainability team in Plastic Free July! Throughout the month we will be sharing information and practices to help you cut down on plastic. Start by signing up for the Plastic Free Challenge and receive tips and tricks to stay motivated throughout the month while learning about the global movement. 
Carry Pride throughout the year in the form of a book!   
With Pride Month wrapping up shortly, please remember that we can learn more, be an ally, and support the creativity, perspectives, and work of 2SLGBTQ+ community members all year round. The following lists books written by, for, or about Pride topics, and can make great additions to a summer reading list, or as gifts.   
Experiential Learning at KHSC for Human Resources Management
Last week, our HR Management programs at St. Lawrence College students had the unique opportunity to participate in a mock mass casualty exercise at Kingston Health Sciences Centre. As simulated casualties of a train derailment, our health and safety students presented at the hospital, providing an experiential learning experience like no other.  
SLC's School of Skilled Trades Hosts "Super" PAC Meeting
SLC’s School of Skilled Trades Hosts a Successful “Super” Program Advisory Committee Meeting  On June 13th, SLC’s School of Skilled Trades made history by hosting a “Super” Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting in the Innovation Hub on the Kingston campus. The event was a first for the college and a resounding success, with close to 100 community members and industry leaders in attendance.  
Students Offer Marketing Communications Insights to Fuel Local Not-for-Profit Growth 
While marketing is traditionally known for promoting products and services, there's an increasing emphasis on its potential to address social issues such as public health, social justice, and sustainability.    To explore social marketing while gaining real-world experience, students in St. Lawrence College’s Digital Marketing Communications (DMC) program are learning to leverage marketing communications to create positive social impact in their communities.
