Notes for SLC’s upcoming spring semester
We are looking forward to our spring semester starting on May 9 for several reasons, and this message is to equip SLC students with insight to help ensure the semester is a successful one. There are three things we would like our student community to know, as the spring term begins. 
Earth Week 2022 Celebrations
Spring has sprung and SLC will be celebrating Mother Earth April 18-22 with Earth Week events that will get you outside and thinking about how we can support the ecological health of our campuses.
Turning Barriers into Business for Women Entrepreneurs in Kingston
After two years of program planning and delivery, the YourWay Program under the WE-CAN Project comes to completion. The St. Lawrence College Department of Innovation and Business Engagement embarked on a journey with KEYS Employment Centre and The City of Kingston to create a program that supported women entrepreneurs who are newcomers, Indigenous, or live with a disability, to break down barriers, provide training, coaching and mentorship, and help uplift them in many ways. Proudly, over 40 women within the Kingston community were supported to start or grow their businesses!
St. Lawrence College Appoints New Director, Belonging, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
St. Lawrence College is pleased to announce the appointment of Carmen Law (she/her) to the new senior role of Director, Belonging, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Carmen will lead the development and implementation of the College’s Belonging, Diversity & Inclusion plan, continuing the critical work of the SLC Belonging and EDI Task Force and furthering the seven strategic recommendations from its final report.
St. Lawrence College Appoints New Vice President, Student Success
With the news that St. Lawrence College has integrated its International Education team with its Student Affairs division, the College is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Shelley Aylesworth-Spink to lead the newly integrated division as Vice President, Student Success.
