Building Behavioural Solutions Conference Returns to SLC
The A. Britton Smith Centre for Behavioural Studies at SLC will host the 11th annual Building Behavioural Solutions Conference April 14, 2023, on SLC’s Kingston campus. The conference will bring together clinicians, professionals, and students in the fields of Applied Behaviour Analysis, mental health and counselling, education, organizational behaviour management, and other applicable fields to explore the broader application of behaviour science.
New Bridging Pathway Between St. Lawrence College and Queen’s Engineering Launches
St. Lawrence College (SLC) students in the Civil Engineering Technology Advanced Diploma program have a new opportunity to complete their degree at Queen’s University with a pathway to further broaden their horizons and welcome new students to its engineering community. The Queen’s Engineering Bridge, a new initiative at Queen’s, will give SLC students in their final year the opportunity to join Queen’s Engineering in its Department of Civil Engineering or the Robert M. Buchan Department of Mining.
St. Lawrence College Teams Move to Final Round at Kingston Mayor’s Innovation Challenge Pitch
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is thrilled to announce that five of the eight teams advancing to the final round of the Mayor’s Innovation Challenge 2023 final round are SLC student teams. The in-person pitches take place at Kingston’s City Hall on Friday, March 10, 2023.
St. Lawrence College will Offer Nursing Credential Upgrading Courses
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is offering internationally educated nurses (IENs) the opportunity to upgrade their credentials while continuing to work. The new pathways will bolster the province’s healthcare workforce by allowing more nurses to get training to help them advance further in their careers. Courses, labs, and clinical opportunities will be offered on all three of SLC’s campuses in Kingston, Brockville, and Cornwall.
St. Lawrence College to Host Skills Competition in Cornwall and Kingston
SLC will be hosting several events for the Eastern Ontario Skills Competition on Tuesday, February 28 in Cornwall, and the Limestone District School Board Skills Competition and the Young Women’s Skilled Trade and Technology event on the Kingston campus on March 1.
