St. Lawrence College Students Win Prestigious Award
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is proud to announce that international students Iovanna Rodriguez Moreno and Jorge Veloz Ortiz have been named recipients of the 2024 Elizabeth Paterson Award by the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE). This award is presented to individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership and contributions in advancing international education in Canada. The couple were formally recognized at CBIE2024, the annual international education conference held in Ottawa on November 5, 2024.
Ontario Helping More Women Build Skills and Get Jobs: Welding Training for Women at SLC
Media Release issued by the Ontario government. The Ontario government is investing up to $1.96 million over three years through the Women’s Economic Security Program to support two employment training programs for low-income women in Kingston. This investment will provide up to $1.2 million for Kingston Employment Youth Services’ entrepreneurship training program and up to $764,000 for CWB Welding Foundation’s Women of Steel training program at St. Lawrence College.
St. Lawrence College and CITT Partner to Equip Supply Chain Students with In-Demand Credentials
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is proud to announce a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the CITT – Canada's Logistics Association, for students in its Supply Chain Management post-graduate certificate program. Through this partnership, students who meet academic requirements will be eligible to earn the CITT-Certified Logistics Professional® (CCLP®) designation, a prestigious credential in the supply chain and logistics sector.  This agreement integrates the academic requirements for the CCLP® designation into SLC’s program, so that graduates will not only gain industry-specific knowledge but will also leave with a recognized professional credential, giving graduates a competitive edge in the job market. 
SLC unveils Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Legacy Space on the Brockville and Cornwall Campuses 
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is pleased to announce the unveiling of a Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Legacy Space on its Brockville and Cornwall Campuses, on October 17 and 18 respectively. Last August, Legacy Space was unveiled on the Kingston campus, which was the first in a post-secondary institution in Ontario, and the first in the hometown of the late Gord Downie.
