2014-08-28, 9:53 AM

September is quickly approaching and students will soon be back in the halls on their way to class. St. Lawrence College is gearing up to welcome students on September 2 with Orientation Day actives delivering a fun filled student experience.
Orientation provides a great opportunity for students to discover their college community, develop friendships, connect with their faculty, and establish relationships important during the next step in the college experience.
Activities will kick-off at 9:00 am on the Kingston Campus where students can participate in campus tours, information sessions, a BBQ, and games. Soon the campus will be a buzz with student engagement continuing through Welcome Week activities. Welcome Week offers students a chance to familiarize themselves with the support and services available on campus. “There is a lot of opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the college experience through spirit events and information sessions to assist them in getting the best possible start at SLC,” said Glenn Vollebregt, President and CEO of St. Lawrence College.
Students can participate in events such as Kingston Connect, the Ryan Taylor Bus Pull, and the annual SLC Spirit Day Rugby Game on Friday, September 5th at 3:00 pm. The game is partnered with students from the St. Lawrence College School of Business where these same students apply creative marketing strategies to promote the sale Viking helmets. Proceeds from these sales go towards the Business Student Initiative Fund.
