Great North Comedy Night - September 25, 2010

Thanks to sponsors State Farm Insurance and The Mortgage Professionals, the volunteer St. Lawrence College Brockville Alumni Branch is thrilled to welcome veteran comedians Doug Funk, Ron Sparks, and Jocko Alston to the Brockville campus on Saturday September 25 @ 8:00pm. This event is open to both SLC alumni and the general public (adults only).

As always, proceeds from our comedy nights support the Brockville Campus Student Emergency Fund, assisting students with unexpected financial needs that come up during their academic pursuits. Many cases (handled by Counselling Services) have helped keep a student in college and on track to becoming a St. Lawrence College graduate. We have raised over $6,000 to date.

Our award winning headliner Doug Funk is a seasoned performer with a fresh and contagious style whose entertainment background has molded him into one of the most funny, thought provoking and versatile comics in the country. He has four consecutive seasons on the Comedy Network to his credit, five seasons on Global, countless TV commercials and hundreds of live performances across the country.

Doors open at 7:00 that evening and the show starts at 8:00. Tickets are $15.00 at the door but only $12.50 in advance and available now at State Farm Insurance (68 William St) or Home Hardware Building Centre (584 Stewart). There are only 200 tickets available and this event usually sells out so get yours now!
