Energy House Wins Gardening Award

St. Lawrence College's Energy House has won the coveted Five Blooms Award in the Public Gardens category in this year's Kingston Blooms competition. An awards ceremony is being held on August 12.

The Kingston Blooms competition is part of the nationwide competition, Communities in Bloom. Awards are given in the Residential, Community Gardens, Public Gardens, Forgotten Corner and Professional Gardens categories.

"We have been working hard to beautify Energy House and we're very happy the hard work has been recognized," said Don Young, Dean, Faculty of Applied Science. "Special thanks to our 'Green Thumbs' Brenda Vandermeer, Leslie MacDougall, Barb Guerin, and a number of students who have put their hearts into the project over the past five years."
