"St. Lawrence College works to strengthen Eastern Ontario communities. One of the ways our Board of Governors reaches out to individuals and organizations in Brockville, Cornwall, Kingston and surrounding areas is by seeking worthy individuals to recognize with the award of an honorary diploma. Our key criterion for candidate selection is community leadership," says John Plant, Chair of the St. Lawrence College Board of Governors.

"At St. Lawrence College we present Honorary Diplomas to recognize outstanding achievement, and just as importantly to inspire our students" says Chris Whitaker, President and CEO. Recipients of Honorary Diplomas will be recognized at convocation ceremonies in each community in May and June 2009. This is an opportunity for these leaders to speak to a very influential audience: our graduates.
