Yes. St. Lawrence College parking permits are designed to be displayed on the dash. All permits must be clearly visible. Vehicles parked without a visible permit may receive a parking ticket. Please refer to the Parking Regulations for more information.
While your accessible parking permit allows you to park your vehicle in the designated accessible spaces, you still need a valid St. Lawrence College parking permit to park at the College.
Be advised that if you park your vehicle in the designated accessible spaces, you must display your accessible permit and St. Lawrence College parking permit to avoid parking infractions.
Parking regulations are enforced between the hours of 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. If you do not have a valid parking permit for your vehicle, you need to make sure that you have used one of the following options:
- Use the Honk Mobile app on your smartphone to purchase daily parking
- Visit the Honk Mobile kiosk located outside of security to purchase daily parking
Failure to purchase adequate parking permission during the day will result in parking fines and/or towing.
If you commute from outside of the city and are not able to purchase a parking permit, you do have an option. The City of Kingston has several Park & Ride locations where you can leave your vehicle for the day, and hop on a city bus. These locations are utilized by many commuters, and are a fantastic way to get around the city without having to worry about parking!
Visit https://www.cityofkingston.ca/residents/transit for location details, and full bus schedules.
Honk Mobile is an easy-to-use app for your smartphone that allows you to purchase parking at St. Lawrence College (and selected parking lots in most major cities) from virtually anywhere.
Once you create an account, you can purchase your parking by the hour with a credit card or PayPal. This allows you to add extra time to your temporary parking pass as needed throughout the day without having to go anywhere near the parking lot.
Depending on the type of permit that you have purchased, refunds are available for a very limited amount of time. Contact the Parking Administration Office at parking@sl.on.ca for more information.
Please be aware that there is a $30 administration fee for all returned parking permits.
No, your St. Lawrence College Parking Permit is not tax deductible.
We understand that sometimes the weather can make parking difficult. Use your best judgement to park your vehicle in an orderly manner, while giving the vehicle next to you ample room. Do not park your vehicle in the path of snow removal equipment or the traffic flow of other vehicles entering and leaving the parking areas.
At this time, the Parking Administration Office may only be reached by email at parking@sl.on.ca. The parking email is monitored Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Please note that you are not able to contest a parking ticket in person. To adjudicate a parking violation, follow the instructions on the back of the parking ticket.

A parking violation may be appealed within five days of the infraction date. A valid appeal can be based only on the contention that a parking violation was issued contrary to St. Lawrence College’s Parking Regulations. Those that do not comply with these requirements will be automatically denied, and the Parking Administration Office will notify the appellant. No appeal from this decision is permitted.
The online appeal form can be found by visiting https://slc.aimsparking.com.
Please allow up to five business days for a response.
All vehicles must comply with the campus parking regulations while on college property, and the college reserves the right to arrange for vehicles to be towed at the owner’s expense if tickets are not paid on time. The complete parking regulations can be found on the main parking webpage.
Failure to pay your parking violations will result in a hold being placed on your student record and/or the college will take actions to recover the debt through Collections. Continuous disregard of St. Lawrence College’s Parking Regulations may result in revocation or parking privileges under the Trespass to Property Act, and a student/employee code of conduct will be issued.
