Brand Identity Design I &
Interaction Design III

Objective

To design a logo for an e-commerce company and apply it to their website. The primary objective is to cultivate instant recognition and establish a strong association between the logo, the website design, and the brand identity of Inkwell & Co.

Description

An illustration of a paper clip was used as a depiction for the first letter of Inkwell. This came from the concept approach of company activity, which in Inkwell’s case, is selling stationery products.

The monochromatic colour palette was chosen because of the nature of products and services offered by Inkwell.

Typography III

Objective

The goal is to design a visually compelling book cover and spreads for a contemporary publication, expressive or representative of the fables chosen.

Description

Forests, Fables, & Folktales is a contemporary book comprised of a collection of Aesop’s fables

The typographic system of dilational was used as a grid of the spreads. In the fables, part of the moral story in both is demonstrating strength and personifying courage in actions that you take. The dilational system demonstrates this because of its focal point. Hercules is an embodiment of strength and courage. The boy, on the other hand, is a portrayal of someone who needs to learn these qualities. The paragraphs being broken apart represents the flow of the stories — it wasn’t a particularly smooth journey.
