Designer Bio
Hey, I’m Logan MacDougall, your local graphic design student hell-bent on making the world a little stranger. With any project, I like to approach it from a strange angle in order to create something both fun and out there. I’m a creative individual who puts 100 percent of myself into every project. Outside of design, I’m a massive movie buff and comic book nerd taking a ton of inspiration from artists and storytellers from all media. When I’m not in the studio working away I focus on my writing and gather with my friends to do collaborative storytelling. To end this let me leave you with my favourite quote from the fantastic Neil Gaiman, “ Break rules. Leave the world more interesting for your being here. Make, Good, Art.”

Typography IV
Objective
I was tasked with creating a poster and brochure for a fictional conference talking about global warming. The goal was to take all of the information provided and then transfer all of our designs across different areas of design.
Description
I started off by creating the word cluster. With the conference being titled Mixed Forecast I played with the idea of lightning cutting through the X. From that, the idea of making it come from storm clouds created an interesting visual. Like a set of dominoes, this led to the next visual of making factories create the storm clouds, this helped with creating a visual connection of man-made climate change. After the poster was created I moved on to the brochure, using similar imagery in order to tie everything together.

Graphic Design IV
Objective
This project was given to our class by the Wellness Center at St Lawrence College. The goal was to create a design that will open up the discussion of mental health at the school. This project required me to work with the entire class and find out what strategies worked best to help students, faculty, and teachers.
Description
In this project, I wanted to visualize the metaphor of mental health being a journey. In order to create this I made it so you can take your journey going up a mountain. The way the application works is by having you label your task, and then monitoring your milestones and setbacks. Every time you take a step forward, you move closer upward toward the mountain. And with every setback, you get a storm cloud above your head. Everyone is anonymous as they go up the mountain but you can interact with other students and staff as they go on their own individual trek.

Brand Identity III
Objective
I was tasked with creating a brand identity for Troller’s Trove. The goal was to create both a website and a logo for the company.
Description
The company was meant to target families, so I decided to go with a more cartoony and clean look to the logo. I decided to merge the symbology of a crab and a treasure chest. I did this in order to play on the company's values of high-quality seafood while also appealing to the target demographic of families with younger children. For the website, I stuck with these values by having it decorated with a cartoonish atmosphere and colourful illustrations.
