Designer Bio
My name is Amber Dawe. I am a First Nations Mi’kmaq graphic designer in Kingston, Ontario. I’m compassionate and want the best for everyone, and I believe everyone can succeed. At a young age, I felt drawn to a creative, artistic journey leading me to the Graphic Design program, painting and designing. It was the perfect fit. Over the past four years, I have developed a solid professional interest in logo design, interaction design, and layout.
I’m knowledgeable in composition, layout, typography, colour, and interactive and accessible design principles. Critiques have given me critical thinking skills and a lot of practice in providing constructive and detailed feedback to classmates. This has helped further develop and refine our designs. My passion is to help my community and create while continuously building on my skills and networking.

Interaction Design III
Objective
Develop an e-commerce website for a mobile interface using the appropriate principles within the layout that your audience can follow successfully.
Description
The designer will create an e-commerce website based on an existing website of their choice. The website’s primary purpose is to show potential donors or volunteers what the organization is while ensuring that the website is accessible in all sizes. I added a logo created in brand identity to bring the website together. The designer will use the web interface and principles they have learned to complete this task. They will use yellow to make the donate button pop out, Neue Helvetica for legibility and different weights within the family, and two photos to persuade the viewer to read further into the images of livestock, water and forms of help.

Brand Identity I
Objective
To create a logo in a black and white version and a two-colour version that meets the requirements of an advanced logo structure that represents the company's eco-friendly values while giving them room to grow their company and the products they sell. With the logo, we are also supposed to develop stationery components for the company. I'm Creating the letterheads and business cards to promote them professionally.
Description
I was given the company Tru Earth to design a logo that represents the company and their values while giving them room for growth as they continue to develop more eco-friendly products. Tru Earth gives back to their community and planet; eco-friendly cleaning power is made into tiny strips that are liquidless detergent that you toss into the wash. The main focus is to design an eco-friendly logo that uses limited ink and is accessible to recognize. Tru Earth is an all-natural vegan, eco-friendly laundry strip company that's primary goal is to be beneficial to the planet and our skin. When choosing the fonts, I wanted to go with a clear, accessible one so you could see the logo from afar because it is imperative to have the right amount of thickness for legibility and stand out.
