She is passionate about using her skills to help others and explore ways of solving problems with design. Class
Agency Capstone
Objective
Identify a problem of your choice and create a design solution through researching, user testing and developing a prototype.
Description
The design problem of raising awareness to protect the bee populations in Prince Edward County was solved by creating a campaign that will motivate the residents of PEC and inform them on what they can be doing to help stop this crisis locally. With the use of posters, social media campaigning and the informational brochure, audiences of all ages will be reached and be encouraged to participate in the market event.
Class
Graphic Design V
Objective
Create a new brand identity for a real Client as a class project. Using this identity, it will then be applied to a website and packaging. The Client we worked with for this project is a new non-profit microgreens company who are dedicated to providing jobs for people living with mental illness.
Description
The logo I designed was chosen to represent the company and be used for all branding material. The main concept of connection is represented by the two leaves that overlap each other, one outlined and one filled in. A Generic leaf shape is used since Picked Today may want to eventually expand into selling other types of greens and vegetables besides micro greens. The bright colour green chosen for this logo represents the freshness of Picked Today’s products, paired with a dark green that offers contrast, legibility and depth of colour. I then designed a website prototype and packaging material as an extension to this project
Class
Interaction Design IV
Objective
Plan and research an interface of your choice, according to industry standards for interaction design that will solve an everyday issue.
Description
I chose to design an app to help users improve their health, be more physically active and reach their goals. Through developing a journey map, creating a persona (shown below) and making wireframes, I arrived at the final working prototype called BodyBio. Users can track their health journey progress, create personalized workout / meal plans, set productivity timers and more.
