Overview
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) automate map production and integrate earth imagery with data to solve geographic issues. Results can be presented through maps, tables, charts, or a combination of these formats. GIS technology is increasingly accessible and affordable, applicable to corporations, governmental agencies, and nonprofits alike.
This certificate program targets managers, technical professionals, and support staff who oversee and utilize GIS. It appeals to individuals across disciplines like Urban Planning, Civil and Transportation Engineering, Resources Management, and Business.
To successfully complete this program, participants must complete eight (8) compulsory courses.

Admission Requirements
Applicants to the program must hold an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (O.S.S.D.) or equivalent or must qualify for mature student status (19 years of age or older).
Career Opportunities
Graduates from the program may find employment opportunities with private companies and nonprofit organizations as well as city, regional and federal agencies as Cartographers and photogrammetrist; Geographic information systems technicians; Mapping technicians and Surveying technicians.
