St. Lawrence College (SLC) invites the community to celebrate the remarkable career of artist and former faculty member, Andrea Mossop. A special reception will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Marianne Van Silfhout Gallery, where Mossop's solo exhibition “stillpoint” will be on display from September 28 to November 8.
“I am honoured that my work as an artist and a teacher is being recognized," Mossop reflected. "It’s especially meaningful to me to have an exhibition at the Marianne Van Silfhout Gallery, a dedicated art space open to our entire community.” The exhibition features a selection of Mossop's paintings, drawings, and prints showcasing more than 50 works.
“We are thrilled to celebrate Andrea Mossop’s incredible artistry and her fifty-year career as an instructor in our community,” said Les Casson, Dean, Faculty of Creative Industries and Brockville Campus. “In honour of this special occasion, we are pleased to announce that a photograph of Andrea will hang on the Inspired wall in the gallery alongside colleagues who have made a significant contribution to the arts program at St. Lawrence College.”
