Veterinary Technology students pose in a group inside the lab

Submitted by Dr. Rea Marcelissen, Professor, Clinical Veterinarian & Co-Coordinator, Veterinary Health Department

On Wednesday, April 17 and Thursday, April 18, 2024, second year Veterinary Technology students participated in a low-cost Rabies Vaccination Clinic for dogs and cats in the Veterinary Health facility on Kingston campus. The students participated in communicating with the owners, handling the animals, examining and vaccinating them. They vaccinated 83 animals in the community for Rabies and all funds were donated directly to Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre, for a total of over $1,500 raised!
