St. Lawrence College’s Music Theatre – Performance program invites the community to experience the energy of live theatrical performances at their upcoming production of Snowed in for Christmas, on stage at Aultsville Theatre, located on SLC’s Cornwall campus, December 14 & 15. Snowed in for Christmas sees the former theatre club of Hollyberry High reunite for a one-night-only Christmas Concert spectacular, only to have a sudden blizzard interrupt the show, trapping the performers and audience in the theatre. The show must go on but not quite in the way they expected. Personal feelings, past secrets, and a search for some Christmas cheer spill out onto the stage amongst the classic Christmas songs. In the tradition of the Golden Age of Broadway with a little Hallmark Holiday movie stirred in and a sprinkle of contemporary musical theatre on top, Snowed in for Christmas features a large and immensely talented cast of students from SLC’s Music Theatre Performance program performing some of your favourite holiday songs from Broadway and beyond. It’s a feel-good, nostalgia-packed holiday treat!
