Spark is thrilled to reveal 'Legacies of Loyalist,' a compelling documentary that explores the rich historical essence of Loyalist Township, brought to life through six enthralling narratives. This endeavor, graciously backed by the Community Foundation for Kingston and Area, saw Spark in collaborative action with Loyalist Township, to encapsulate and disseminate an oral history destined to resonate with and galvanize both present and ensuing generations within the Loyalist community.
The project was spearheaded by Liam Hamilton, an alumnus of the Graphic Design program, and videographer at Spark. The documentary is the fruit of collective endeavor, engaging a diverse team of students from a myriad of academic programs at St. Lawrence College.
The ensemble comprised:
-Madyson Kiepprien-Fraser, Business Administration - Marketing Graduate
-Tushar Sharma, UX Design/DMC Graduate
-Luis Godinez Garcia, AMC Graduate
-Nataliya Kozyrina, Music & Digital Media Graduate
-Nathan Graham, AMC
-Sam Cowan, Business Administration - Marketing
Their creative journey was further enriched by the mentorship and support from Gerhard Freundorfer, Creative Director, and Mike Kusters, Content and Multimedia Officer.
The documentary premiered to critical acclaim, earning accolades that underscore its professional excellence and community value. A notable commendation came from Paul Gilmore, former Mayor of Loyalist Township, who lauded:
