On October 19, Patrick Egbunonu, Dean, Faculty of Business and Community Services and Teresa Pires, Associate Dean, General Business, accompanied Jessica Kostuck, Associate Director of Development on a stewardship visit to the headquarters of Rose Rocket Inc in Toronto.
Earlier this year, Rose Rocket donated a gift-in-kind of software licenses to SLC valued at over $118,000. Access to Rose Rocket software in SLC classrooms will create opportunities for experiential learning on industry-leading technology for over 60 Supply Chain Management students on SLC Cornwall campus each year.
“This generous gift-in-kind from Rose Rocket has allowed me to set up a simulated trucking company, ensuring that SLC students are confident and prepared to enter the workforce,” says Carla Kingston-Floyd, Professor, Supply Chain Management.
Rose Rocket is a platform transportation management software that helps manage the unique needs of today’s transportation companies, including planning, dispatching, reporting and a driver mobile app. Rose Rocket HQ is a hub for innovation and collaboration, and SLC team members enjoyed time at Rose Rocket’s employee-run espresso bar and in their fully equipped music room. This generous gift-in-kind in support of Supply Chain Management will be celebrated on November 20th with the grand opening of the Rose Rocket Lab on SLC Cornwall Campus.
