In the heart of our community, a cohort of students is revolutionizing the Cornwall business landscape through hands-on learning endeavours. In today's dynamic economy, practical skills and real-world experience hold unparalleled value. Introducing the Business Project Consulting courses – an enriching educational venture empowering students to emerge as adept problem solvers and forward-thinking innovators.
This course offers a distinctive fusion of theoretical teachings and practical applications, enabling students to translate classroom knowledge into innovative real-world solutions. Collaborating within MS Teams, students tackle intricate challenges encountered by local businesses, fostering a deep understanding of consulting dynamics through immersive experiences. This experiential learning approach nurtures critical thinking, problem-solving prowess, and adept communication – pivotal attributes for navigating the complexities of the business realm.
The student's business partners included Seaway Roadhouse, Zip Grow, Fresco, Cornwall Cell Phone Repair, Zara, and Tim Hortons where they identified opportunities for improvement. After consolidating their findings, they presented their solutions in a class competition. Seaway Roadhouse emerged as the victor, with students devising an inventory management system to reduce product waste, creating a win for both the environment and the business owners.
