A Taste of Cultures

A cultural collaboration, “Taste of Cultures,” led by the Global Learning Centre, with the help of Event and Banquet Services, St. Larry’s Pub, and Brown's, will run through October and November on all three campuses. Each week, SLC students will share traditional foods from different parts of the world at the Global Learning Centre.   

St. Larry’s Pub on the Kingston campus will prepare the dish and will portion it in sample sizes for the SLC community to taste. Brown's will do the same on the Brockville and Cornwall campuses. During the presentation, students will be given not only samples, but a chance to vote on the dish. The dish with the most votes may become a menu item that St. Larry’s Pub and Brown’s adopt into their daily menu.  
 
There will also be a chance for students to win Brown’s gift cards for their participation in the event. This will be a great opportunity for the SLC community to come together and experience different foods from around the world. Come join the fun at the Global Learning Centre in celebrating cultural diversity with a fantastic food journey!
