Special Topics in Marketing Communications is a research- and writing-focused course that will enable you to be up-to-the-minute on the Marketing Communications issues and concerns that organizations are dealing with today and in the foreseeable future.

Upon successful completion of this course you will be prepared to actively participate in meetings and discussions with clients and employers. You will be able to discuss, in depth, which issues are likely to impact specific clients and how other organizations are dealing effectively (or not) with these concerns. You will be equipped to make the connections among issues, options, and strategies an organization might explore.

Skills that you will enhance include: situation analysis; problem identification; writing research hypotheses; selecting and using data and opinion from a wide variety of multi-media sources; meeting with your supervisors and peers for feedback and advice; developing and delivering a formal written report, recommendation, and multi-media presentation; and creating FAQ’s that reflect the core elements of your findings
