GRAP 121

This second semester course provides a more in-depth understanding of the use of photographic techniques and equipment while introducing the student to the digital work flow. The fundamental processes and skills learned in Basic Photography (GENE 6) will be refined and a more commercial approach to the photographic medium will ensue. The focus will be on the digital imaging work flow from image capture - through editing - to output. There will be series of photographic assignments for which a camera (either film or digital) will be required, preferably with manual exposure capability. Images will be transferred to the digital realm for final editing. The assignments will be designed to incorporate a variety of technical skills as well as creative decisions and aesthetic choices.
Prerequisite: Basic Photography (GENE 6)
