Self-directed study course offers students in their final year of the Arts and Science Program the opportunity to explore an area of interest which is not provided through traditional course offerings. Students who wish to undertake a self-directed study project are required to submit a proposal defining their area of interest, stating the outcomes they will achieve, and outlining a schedule for completion of the project. Upon completion of their stated learning activities, students will demonstrate their mastery of the knowledge and skills they have acquired during their semester of study. Selected topics must be approved by the Program Coordinator, and must fall within the scope of general education. (45 hr. credit)
