Physical Fitness provides the student an opportunity to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to pursue fitness as a lifestyle. Classroom sessions will focus on instruction, while the activity component will expose the student to a wide variety of fitness and recreation experiences. The student will acquire an understanding of facets relating to healthy lifestyle, active living, components of fitness, types of fitness and recreation programs, stress and leisure, and principles of training. Activity sessions include exposure to: walking/hiking, swimming, jogging, skating, aerobics, weight training, A small fee of $20 will be charged to each student for the rental of outside recreational facilities. (3 hrs. per week)
