(Fall only)
This is a practical and theoretical course in personal financial planning. Topics covered include financial plans, inflation, taxes, simple vs. compound interest, home mortgages, life insurance, investments (RRSPs, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc.), consumer credit (student loans, car leasing, etc.), and wills. The course will also look at some of the psychological and socioeconomic issues surrounding financial planning.
