This course will provide students with a “hands-on” approach to learning the most popular Internet applications such as electronic mail (e-mail), discussion groups, and the World Wide Web. The course will be taught from a non-technical perspective and historical, cultural and social issues will be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on using technology effectively to retrieve, manage, and communicate information in order to achieve schoolwork-related goals. (3 hrs. per week)
