FAHP 3500

This course will help the student enhance their interpersonal communication skills by understanding basic counselling, behavioural and communication techniques set out by the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology. These skills will help the student develop counselling skills required when encouraging individuals to make healthy lifestyle changes. The course will also help the student enhance their business communication skills such as: managing email and email etiquette, communicating with media, communicating across cultures, making successful presentations, and developing reports and other forms of documentation. All of these communication skills are important to develop to be successful in the fitness and health promotion industry.

Pre-requisite: FAHP 2500.
Co-requisite: FAHP 3200.
