(Winter Only)
This course is designed to provide Arts and Science students in their second year of study with the opportunity to integrate their theoretical knowledge about career planning with practical “on the job” experience in a work setting of their choice. Prior completion of a college-level career planning course is not a prerequisite; however, students who have completed such a course will find the goal-setting objectives of COMM25 easier to master. Topics discussed during in-class sessions will include goal-setting, job search techniques, workplace issues (equity, harassment and discrimination) and workplace etiquette.
(60 hr. credit course includes work placement experience)
Recommended background: Credit in career search techniques.
