Asphalt is one of the most prevalent engineered materials in use today and is a critical asset that municipal and provincial agencies strive to manage effectively. This course introduces students to the properties of asphalt in engineering terms and introduces the concepts of design, rehabilitation, testing, production, placement, and inspection of asphalt pavements. Marshall and SuperPave methods are covered in detail.
