BEHA 1025

This course presents an overview of the characteristics and needs of special population groups in all age ranges. Groups include the elderly, displaced/unemployed adults, street kids, children with learning disabilities, and persons who are blind or deaf. The students will develop their role as a helper by learning about the various interventions, resources and services that exist for these groups. Therapeutic interventions such as Parent Effectiveness Training. Small Group Facilitation, Behaviour Modification will also be applied.
Prerequisite: BEHA2026.
