Upholstery

Overview

The program gives students a strong foundational knowledge of upholstery skills from concept to final upholstered project. Whether you are interested in upholstery as a hobby or in learning upholstery as a trade, continue to build on the theory and skills developed at each level as your projects become more complex.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify and discuss career opportunities in the upholstery trade.
  2. Apply the knowledge of foundational upholstery principles, techniques and knowledge for personal enjoyment or for the pursuit of employment.
  3. Apply skills to projects of increasing difficulty.
  4. Identify different styles of furniture.

    Admission Requirements

    Applicants to the program must hold an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (O.S.S.D.) or equivalent or must qualify for mature student status (19 years of age or older).
