How does it benefit Employers?
The Canada-Ontario Job Grant provides training subsidies to businesses to help them hire and retain top employees that meet the necessary skill requirements of their organization.
This funding will provide employers with the opportunity to invest in the skill development of their current and future workforce, leading to increases in organizational productivity and retention. Learn more about the Canada-Ontario Job Grant.
This limited-time grant is available to small, medium and large businesses with a plan to deliver short-term training to existing and new employees.
Key Points About The Canada-Ontario Job Grant:
Provides up to $10,000 in government support per person for training costs
Requires employers to contribute one-third of the total costs. There will be additional flexibility for small business to provide an in-kind contribution towards their share of costs
Requires training to be delivered by an eligible, third party trainer such as a community college
Applications for funding for any Corporate Learning and Performance Improvement program can be made via the Canada-Ontario Job Fund.
