In-year awards are for students who will be returning to the college for the following school year or students who will be entering their first year at St. Lawrence College.

Thanks to the generosity of alumni and friends, we were able to provide over $350,000 in financial assistance to over 500 students across our three campuses last year!

Athletic Awards

Athlete of the Year
This award recognizes one male and one female student-athlete who excelled in their sport, while demonstrating a high level of skill, coachability and fair play.  They will have superior athletic achievements, while maintaining good academic standing and having a positive presence in the community. 

Academic Athlete of the Year
This award recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honouring one male and one female who have maintained high academic standing amongst their peers, while also making a significant contribution to their team and having a positive presence in the community. 

Fair Play Award
This award recognizes one outstanding student-athlete who consistently promotes the values of sportsmanship, ethical play, integrity, and respect for the opponent, while maintaining good academic standing and having a positive presence in the community. 

Tyler Forkes Fair Play Award
This award recognizes one outstanding Brockville student-athlete who consistently promotes the values of sportsmanship, ethical play, integrity, and respect for the opponent, while maintaining good academic standing and having a positive presence in the community. 

Travis Sage Memorial Bursary
Awarded in memory of Travis Sage, whose sportsmanship, heart and love of the game earned him the respect of his fellow players. The recipient of the Travis Sage Memorial Bursary will be a rookie men’s rugby player who shared Travis' commitment to make an impact.

Barry Ellerbeck Memorial Award
This award recognizes one student-athlete for their outstanding work ethic, dedication and contribution through volunteering to develop and promote sport. This student works hard to assist the Athletic Department in its initiatives, while maintaining good academic standing and having a positive presence in the community.

Varsity Athletic Financial Award
Various athletic financial awards are available for new and returning varsity student-athletes for the purpose of recruitment and retention.

The Indigenous Student Bursary

Each year Indigenous students can apply for one of the approximately 12 Indigenous Student Bursaries. Applications usually become available in October. Click here to learn more.

In-Year Awards*

Access to Opportunity Award

Awarded to a full-time entrance or returning student who has overcome personal challenges to pursue their learning goals.  Preference will be given to applicants who have benefited from community-based assistance such as: literacy training, New Canadian immigrant services, counselling or support programs.  Applicants should outline why they are eligibility for this award in their application and must be able to demonstrate financial need and be an Ontario Resident.

Advertising Club of Toronto "Connector of the Class" Award

Available to a student in their second-last year in the Advertising and Marketing Communications Program, on the Kingston Campus. Awarded to the student who exhibits networking and relationship building skills: the "Connector of the Class".

Advocis, St. Lawrence Rideau Chapter Bursary

Awarded to a returning Business student on the Brockville campus who has demonstrated the qualities required for success in personal financial planning. Candidates will be selected based on the following: commitment to financial planning, lifelong learning and demonstrated leadership through involvement in college activities.

Afro-Caribe Community Foundation Bursary

Available to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in any program on the Kingston Campus who is from the Afro-Caribbean Diaspora or with Canadian parents of said background.  Applicants must have demonstrated excellence in his/her academic, technical or artistic endeavour and contributed to the St. Lawrence College community or the Kingston community.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Albert and Anne Francis Scholarship

Available to a returning student enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program on the Kingston Campus.  Based on an outstanding commitment to providing personal and compassionate patient care.  Applicant must be an Ontario resident and demonstrate financial need.

Allan and Peggy Cohoe Memorial Bursary

Awarded to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in any program on the Kingston, Brockville or Cornwall campus.  Applicants must have demonstrated commitment to academic excellence through either above average effort or achievement and a personal commitment to the community through leadership or significant participation in the classroom or off-campus projects.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Alumni & Friends of SLC Bursary

Provided through the generosity of St. Lawrence College Alumni & Friends, the bursary is designed to enable students to achieve their goal of becoming Alumni of St. Lawrence College. Applicants must be an Ontario resident and demonstrate financial need.

 

Amherst Island Wind Project Bursary Fund

Awarded to a Wind Turbine Technician or Wind Turbine Technician/Industrial Electrician Co-op student on the Kingston campus who is passionate to pursue a career in renewable wind energy.The recipient must demonstrate financial need.

Angella Scott Memorial Fund

Awarded to a student in their graduating year of the Social Service Worker Program on Kingston Campus, who has overcome an obstacle in achieving success in their program. Preference will be given to a mature student and/or a student with a documented learning disability.

Ann and George Carruthers Bursary

Awarded to a student experiencing financial need attending any of the Cornwall, Brockville or Kingston campuses of St. Lawrence College.  Preference will be given to students from the Williamsburg region or therabouts.

Anna Lauzon Memorial Award

Awarded to a Nursing graduating on the Cornwall campus based on technical skills and heartfelt warmth and regard, not only for the patient but for the family members in their time of crisis. Must be an Ontario resident and have financial need.

Anne Brant and Lin Spence Memorial Bursary

Available to an entrance student enrolled full-time in the Hairstylist program on the Kingston campus.  Applicants must have demonstrated a personal commitment to the community through leadership or significant participation in the class-room or off-campus projects.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Arts and Science Learning in Action Bursary

Presented to a full-time entrance or returning Arts and Science student who demonstrates a commitment to learning by showing a positive attitude towards all learning opportunities, by actively participating in class, and by assisting and encouraging fellow students. Consideration will be given to students who also demonstrate involvement in the greater College community. Applicants are asked to provide a 250-word (max) statement describing how their activities meet the award criteria.

Arts and Science, Outstanding Achievement Award

Presented to a student returning to a full-time post-secondary program in a Fall semester at the Kingston campus, after having spent at least two semesters as a full time Arts and Science student and has shown the greatest commitment to learning over two consecutive semesters. Determined by a combination of grade point average improvement and staff recommendations.  Consideration given to students who have overcome difficult personal circumstances in order to continue formal education.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Arts and Science/Graphic Design Academic Commitment Award

Awarded to a returning Arts and Science or Graphic Design student who has demonstrated consistent commitment to their academic work and achieved a standing of 3.0 or higher. Preference will be given to a Mature student and the applicant must demonstrate financial need.

ATEC Technology Scholarships

Available to students entering or returning to one of the following programs at St. Lawrence College Kingston campus: Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Computer Networking and Technical Support, Computer Programmer Analyst, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technician, Energy Systems Engineering, Geothermal Engineering Technician, Mechanical Engineering, Wind Turbine Technician/Industrial Electrician and Veterinary Technology (returning students only). First-year students must provide evidence of a strong record of leadership, community service and/or involvement in sports.  Additional details regarding any special academic achievements should be provided. Returning students must have demonstrated a combination of above average academic achievement and involvement in school and/or community initiatives.  Applicants must be an Ontario Resident and demonstrate financial need.

Athlete in Business Bursary

Awarded to a returning full-time student on the Cornwall campus enrolled in a business program, Applicants must be a student athlete and have financial need.

Beatrice Cleary Memorial Award

Awarded to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program on the Cornwall campus.  Applicants must have demonstrated above average academic achievement and a personal commitment to patient care.  Applicants must be an Ontario Resident and demonstrate financial need.

Betty Boone Bursary

Awarded to a mature student in second or third year on the Kingston campus who has demonstrated leadership qualities in school and/or through volunteer activities in their community. Must have maintained a passing grade.  Applicants should describe their decision to return to school and career aspirations.   Applicants must be an Ontario Resident and demonstrate financial need.

Bill & Brenda Fraser Bursary

Available to an entrance student enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program, on the Brockville Campus.  Applicants will have demonstrated above average academic achievement, school and/or community involvement, volunteerism and financial need.

Bonnie Markell Bursary

Available to an entrance student enrolled full-time in any program on the Cornwall campus. Applicants must be residents of the South Stormont County, demonstrate above average academic achievement and contribution to community service. Preference will be given to former students from Rothwell Osnabrook Secondary School. Applicants must be residents of Ontario and demonstrate financial need.

Bougie Bursary

Presented to a female student entering her final year of study in technology or business at the college's Cornwall campus. The recipient will have demonstrated a commitment to personal success through above average academic achievements complemented by personal work and life experiences.  Applicants must be an Ontario resident and demonstrate financial need.

Bougie International Studies Bursary

Available to a returning students enrolled full-time in any program, with preference given to a student on the Cornwall Campus. Applicants will have demonstrated above average academic achievement, community involvement, an interest in our global community and financial need.  Applicants will provide an outline of how this bursary would allow them to undertake a work placement outside of Canada during their term of study at St. Lawrence College.  Applicants must be an Ontario resident, demonstrate financial need, and eligible to travel outside of Canada.

Boys & Girls Club of Kingston - Eric King Memorial Bursary

Established in memory of ERIC KING, this bursary is presented to a first generation entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in any program at the Kingston or Brockville campus who was either a member, volunteer or part-time staff with the Boys and Girls Club of Kingston & Area. Priority will be for current/former youth members who participated in the Youth Council at the Boys and Girls Club. Applicants must be residents of Ontario and demonstrate financial need.

Brockville Police Service - David Primeau Leadership Award

Awarded to a returning Police Foundations student; based on high academic proficiency and field placement.

Brockville Student Administrative Council Bursary

Awarded to a returning student who has maintained full-time status, demonstrated student leadership through participation in student government, athletics or volunteering in the community.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Brown's Boys and Girls Club Bursary

Awarded to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in any program on the Kingston campus who is an active member of the Boys and Girls Club of Kingston & Area.  Applicants must have demonstrated significant contribution to enhancing the quality of life for children in the community.  Applicants must be an Ontario resident and demonstrate financial need.

Brown's Fine Food Access to Opportunity Bursary

Available to a returning second year student in a Human Studies program on the Cornwall campus, demonstrating a clear commitment to the college or community volunteerism.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Brown's Fine Food Award - Business

Awarded to a returning second or third year student in the Business Administration Program on the Cornwall campus; based on grades earned and good practical skills.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Brown's Fine Food Award - Technology

Awarded to a returning second or third year student in a Technology program on the Cornwall campus; based on grades earned and good practical skills.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Brown's Fine Food Paul Brown Memorial Bursary

Awarded to a returning student on any campus to support enhancement of their education in an international setting.  Applicants must be an Ontario resident, demonstrate financial need and submit a written plan outlining how these funds will be used.

Brown's First Nations Opportunities Bursary

Available to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in any program on the Kingston, Brockville or Cornwall Campus who is a member of any First Nation Community of Ontario. To honor Wawahte (Northern lights) author by Robert P. Wells and his three friends, residential school survivors sharing their stories of courage & hope for future generations and Canada.  And a tribute to Truth and Reconciliation Commission 2015. Preference will be given to a student whose parent or grandparent was impacted by the tragic legacy of the Residential School System and the damage it wrought on generations of aboriginal peoples. Applicants must have demonstrated commitment to academics and an involvement in school and/or community initiatives, and must demonstrate financial need.

Brown's Pathways to Education Bursary

Awarded to a graduate of the Pathways to Education program in Kingston that is entering any full-time program at St. Lawrence College. Preference will be given to students who reside in the "North End" of Kingston or have graduated from the Queen's Elizabeth Collegiate & Vocational Institute in Kingston, Ontario. Applicants must be Ontario residents and demonstrate financial need.

Bruce and Henrietta Mazurek Bursary

Awarded annually to a returning full-time student enrolled in any program on the Brockville Campus who has demonstrated active involvement in the community.

Bruce and Joanne Tessier Bursary

The Bruce & Joanne Tessier Bursary is available to a mature student and or single parent, who is entering any full-time program of study on the Cornwall campus. Applicants should outline their decision to return to school and their future career goals. Applicants must be residents of Ontario and demonstrate financial need.

Business Leadership Award

Available to 3 entrance students enrolled in any business program; one from each of the Kingston, Brockville and Cornwall Campuses. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.  1 student - Kingston 1 student - Brockville 1 student - Cornwall  @ $500 each annually.

C.F.C.T. Music Faculty Bursary

Presented to a vocally talented entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in the Music Theatre - Performance Program, on the Brockville Campus.  Applicants must be an Ontario Resident and demonstrat financial need.

Canadian Federation of University Women Kingston Award

Awarded to a returning full-time female student on the Kingston campus who is entering her final year of study and has maintained grades of a B average or better.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need and be an Ontario resident.

Canadian GeoExchange Coalition Bursary

Available to an entrance student enrolled full-time in the Energy Systems Engineering Technology (ESET)   at the Kingston Campus.  Applicants will have demonstrated academic achievement and interest in making a positive impact on the environment through the geothermal industry. Applicants will be Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need.

Canadian Health Care Engineering Society of Ontario Award

Awarded to a second year Electrical Engineering Technician student who has the highest grade point average.

Carole Brouse Nursing Award

Awarded to a student in any nursing related program on the Cornwall campus who has a passion for helping those in need. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and be an Ontario resident.

Cataraqui Conservation Foundation Bursary

Available to a returning student enrolled full-time in the Energy Systems Engineering Technology or Technician program, on the Kingston campus. Applicants will have demonstrated academic achievement and the initiative to make a positive impact on the environment.

CCI Student Scholarship Award

Available to a returning student in a culinary program who has shown commitment and passion for learning, volunteering for special culinary events, and participating as a team player.

Chawkers Foundation Bursary

Available to a returning student from any diploma program demonstrating above average academic achievement and leadership among his or her fellow students.  Applicants must be an Ontario Resident and demonstrate financial need.

Children of Alumni Bursary - TD Insurance Meloche Monnex

Awarded to a student entering his or her first year of full-time studies, whose parent is a graduate alumnus of St. Lawrence College.  Applicants must have demonstrated leadership through an involvement in secondary school activities and express an interest in continuing this relationship with participation in student governance, athletics, clubs, student life or class initiatives at St. Lawrence College.  Candidates must demonstrate financial need and must be able to provide proof of parent or legal guardianship upon request.

CICE-Community Integration through Cooperative Education

Awarded to an entrance or returning student enrolled in the Community Integration through Co-operative Education (CICE) full-time program on any campus; based on a spirit of perseverance in pursuing their education goals, positive outlook, sound work habits, and demonstrated financial need. Must be an Ontario Resident.

City of Brockville Expanding Opportunities Award

Available to a resident of Brockville entering any full-time program on the Brockville campus who has demonstrated advocacy for the community through leadership and volunteerism.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

City of Cornwall Bursary

Available to an entrance student enrolled full-time in any program on the Cornwall campus. Applicants must be residents of the City of Cornwall, demonstrate above average academic achievement and contribution to community service. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need.

Cliff Beach Memorial Scholarship

Presented to a returning second year Business student on the Cornwall campus who shows commitment to education through attitude, cooperation and academic standing in his or her first year.

Collins Blay Chartered Professional Accountants Bursary

Awarded to a student with strong academic standing in the third year of the Business Administration - Accounting program. Preference will be given to students on the Kingston campus and recipients must demonstrate financial need.

Columbia Finishing Mills Bursary

Available to an entrance student enrolled full-time in any program on the Cornwall campus.  Applicants must be residents of Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry County, demonstrate above average academic achievement and contribution to community service.  Applicants must be and Ontario resident and demonstrate financial need.

Cormier-Palmer Bursary

Awarded to a returning student in any program on the Cornwall campus, who exemplifies commitment to his/her studies and is to travel to complete a recognized educational placement or work placement outside of Ontario. The recipient must be a Canadian citizen and preference will be given to students who are completing an international placement.

Cornwall & District Immigration Service Bursary

Available to a returning student enrolled in any full-time program on the Cornwall campus. The applicant must be a New Canadian (first generation), a Permanent Resident (landed immigrant) or a child of an immigrant family. Applicants should explain their eligibility for this award by identifying their country of origin.  Applicants will be Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need.

Cornwall Community Hospital Auxiliary Bursary

Awarded to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Practical Nursing student based on high academic achievement in their previous year of study, demonstrated communication skills and a strong ethical and legal understanding of his/her profession.  The recipients are selected by the Nursing faculty.

Cornwall Levi Strauss Access Bursary

Available to an entrance student enrolled full-time in any program on the Cornwall campus.  Applicants must be residents of Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry County, demonstrate above average academic achievement and contribution to community service.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Cornwall Police Foundations Award

Awarded to a second-year Cornwall Police Foundations student who has displayed leadership qualities and demonstrates a passion for their chosen career choice. The recipient will have shown maturity, leadership, honesty, respect and support for others, teamwork and an ongoing dedication to personal physical and mental well being.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need and be an Ontario resident.

Cornwall Student Union Bursary

Awarded to a returning student who has maintained full-time status, demonstrated student leadership through participation in student government, athletics or volunteering in the community.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Cow Patti Bursary

The Alumni Association - Cow Patti Bursary is presented to the returning student who most demonstrates passion for their chosen program/career choice on the Cornwall campus.

Cruden Award

Available to a returning student at the Kingston, Brockville or Cornwall Campus with a documented learning disability. A student must have completed at least two semesters successfully and has functioned effectively as a role model for other students, overcoming the barriers often associated with a learning disability.

Cunningham Swan Bursary

This bursary is available to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in Office Administration Legal or Law Clerk Programs at the Kingston Campus who has exhibited professionalism, strong academic and interpersonal skills and who has an interest in their local community as demonstrated through classroom, volunteer work or other initiatives. Applicants must be residents of Ontario and demonstrate financial need.

Dan Corbett Bursary

Awarded to a returning student on the Kingston campus who demonstrates a keen interest in "Quality," and is recognized as a leader among his or her peers.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Danielle Laflamme & Louise Boulay Support Staff Memorial Award

Established in memory of Danielle Laflamme and Louise Boulay, belated support staff of St. Lawrence College, Cornwall campus. Awarded to a returning student enrolled in any full-time program at the Cornwall campus who support staff recognize as someone with a positive spirit who makes a meaningful difference to the campus atmosphere. Applicants must be Ontario residents and demonstrate financial need.

Davies Charitable Foundation Health Science Student Award

Awarded to one or more students entering their final year of study in the Biotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science or Veterinary Technology Program. Based on above average academic standing and a commitment to helping others through volunteer efforts and community service.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Diana Drury Athletic Bursary

Awarded to a Vikings Varsity Athlete on the Kingston campus who maintains at least a "B" average; who excels in their sport, leads by example, is a valuable member of their team and is a role model on and off the playing field while representing St. Lawrence College.

District 8 Road Supervisors Association Bursary

Available to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in the Civil Engineering Technology Program or the Electrical Engineering Technician Program, on the Kingston Campus.  Applicants must be a resident of Frontenac, Hastings, Leeds & Grenville, Lennox and Addington or Prince Edward County.  Applicants will have demonstrated above average academic achievement, school and/or community involvement, volunteerism and financial need.

Doc's Eternal Venture Bursary

Available to an entrance student enrolled full-time in the Veterinary Technology Program, at the Kingston campus. Preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated an interest in caring for large animals, such as a horse or cow, through secular and/or volunteer work, or therapeutic horse-riding. Applicants must be Ontario residents and demonstrate financial need.

Don & Shirley Green Bursary

Available to a student enrolled full-time in the Pre-Service Firefighter Education & Training Program, on the Brockville Campus.  Applicants will have demonstrated above average academic achievement, school and/or community involvement, volunteerism, be an Ontario Resident and demonstrate financial need.

Donald Lemieux Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a new student who has been accepted into the first year of a two or three year diploma program at the Cornwall campus.  Please outline with application: reasons for applying to St. Lawrence College; academic achievements to date; involvement in school/community organizations; career/education plans following the successful completion of your program at St. Lawrence College.

Donaldson/Hamel/McLaughlin/Sudds Bursary

Awarded to a final year Veterinary Technology student who has demonstrated skills in small animal handling, has a sound knowledge base and exhibits compassion for animals in a professional manner.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Donn Atchison Memorial Award

Available to a single parent entering a full-time program at St. Lawrence College Brockville campus, who has returned to college to further their education following an absence of two or more years from formal schooling.  Applicants should demonstrate a positive approach to their academics and career goals by outing their personal development plan within their application for this award.  Applicants must be an Ontario resdient and demonstrate financial need.

Donna Bryant Memorial Entrance Bursary

Available to a first-year student who is a single parent and has returned to school and enrolling in a full-time program at St. Lawrence College Kingston campus.

Douglas Scott Memorial Award

Available to a second-year Police Foundations student on the Brockville campus in good academic standing who demonstrates great potential for success through fieldwork and volunteerism.  Candidates will have shown maturity, leadership, honesty, respect and support for others, teamwork and an ongoing dedication to personal physical and mental well being. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Doyle/McAlpine Memorial Bursary

Open to full-time students who are single parents for the purpose of providing financial assistance.  Students must demonstrate a commitment to learning and a positive attitude towards their studies.

Dr. Tom & Lyla Goodison Award

Created in memory of Brockville physician Tom Goodison and his wife, Lyla, this scholarship is awarded to two first year Nursing students with a passion for caring for others and whose ingenuity, compassion and problem-solving skills demonstrate an innate empathy for the needs of their future patients. This scholarship will follow the students throughout their four years of study, providing, in the faculty's view, the student continues to embody the spirit of the scholarship criteria and are progressing well toward the goal of becoming nurses whose focus is the whole patient.

Dupont Canada Biotech Award

Awarded to a returning Biotech student with a keen interest in the environment and above average academic standing.  Applicant must be and Ontario resident and demonstrate financial need.

Electrical Contractors Association - Apprenticeship Award

Awarded to a graduating student at each level (Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced) of the Electrician - Construction and Maintenance - Advanced - Apprenticeship Program and has the highest overall average.  The recipient must be indentured to the Quinte St. Lawrence Local Apprenticeship Committee for the Electrical Trade, be an Ontario Resident and able to demonstrate Financial Need.

Emard Brothers Bursary

Available to an entrance or returning student on the Cornwall campus in a Business or Carpentry program. Applicant must demonstrate financial need.

Empire Life Bursary

Awarded to a returning student in the School of Business on the Kingston campus who has demonstrated academic success and who best exemplifies the values of integrity, innovation and teamwork through their studies and their interactions with fellow students.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Enns, MacEachern, Pace, Maloney Award

Available to a Business student in their final year on the basis of good marks, leadership and willingness to assist his/her fellow students.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need and be an Ontario Resident.

EOTEC Trades & Technology Bursary

Available to a first year student entering a trades or technology program. Applicants from Eastern Ontario (Hastings County-east) who will be attending St. Lawrence College directly from high school and who have financial need will be given preference.

Fit Philanthropy Fund

Available to a youth who has been involved with the Boys & Girls Club or Pathways to Education in Eastern Ontario, applicants will demonstrate potential and have a financial need.

FOCUS Art Association Bursary

Available to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in the Fine Arts-Visual Arts Diploma Program, on the Brockville Campus or the Graphic Design Program on the Kingston campus. Applicants must be able to exhibit artistic potential and demonstrate contribution to school and/or community life through the use of their artistic talents. Preference given to students from Cornwall and SD&G Area. (If students from this area do not apply by deadline, then available to students from other regions)

Follett of Canada Bursary

Available to an entrance student enrolled full-time in any program, on the Kingston Campus.  Applicants will have demonstrated above average academic achievement, school and/or community involvement, volunteerism and financial need.

Frank Kinsella Memorial Bursary

Created in honour of lifelong educator and former mayor of the Township of Leeds & the Thousand Islands, Frank Kinsella, the bursary recognizes a student whose commitment to learning is equal to their commitment to their community. The award recipient will be a dedicated returning student on the Brockville Campus who is serious about their studies, and volunteers in either their community or the college community. Preference will be given to a single parent who has returned to school to improve their prospects for their family.

Frank Quaife Award

Awarded in memory of Frank Quaife - Former Board of Governors and Head of Union in St. Lawrence College's 50th anniversary year. The recipient must be a returning student in a trade or technology program on the Kingston campus that demonstrates a keen passion for their industry and leadership skills.

Freedom 55 Financial Scholarship in Business

To recognize the achievement of undergraduate students pursuing a Business Administration Diploma at St. Lawrence College  who have demonstrated strong community involvement or volunteerism.  This scholarship is open to students in their second or third year of the Business Administration program. Students must have achieved a minimum of 75% average in their previous year in the program.  Students must be enrolled on a full-time basis to qualify for this award.  Students must submit a statement demonstrating their community involvement or volunteerism.

Friends of Music Theatre Bursary

Established through the support of the Friends of Music Theatre Performance, the bursary is available to a student in the Music Theatre Performance Program who has shown a passion and interest in acting and exhibits a command of language and text. The applicant must meet Ontario residency requirements of 12 consecutive months, and demonstrate financial need.

Frontenac Community Futures Development Corporation Bursary

Awarded to residents of the Township of North, Central, or South Frontenac or the Frontenac Islands, who have been accepted into a full-time Technology, Skilled Trades or Apprenticeship Program at the Kingston Campus.  Applicants must have demonstrated school or community involvement/volunteerism and good academic standing. Applicant must demonstrate financial need and be an Ontario resident.

G. Douglas Hale Memorial Bursary

Available to a returning student enrolled full-time on the Brockville Campus.  Preference will be given to residents of Leeds and Grenville or Lanark Counties. Applicants will have demonstrated financial need.

Genge/Hannah/Wallis Medical Laboratory Science Award

Available to a student entering the clinical year (3rd year) of the Medical Laboratory Science Program.  Applicants must demonstrate academic and practical excellence with an overall average of 75% in the second year of the Medical Laboratory Science Program.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.  Applicants are required to outline their career aspirations, achievements, how they would benefit by receiving this award and any special circumstances to be considered.

Gertrude Bougie Grant Memorial Award

Awarded to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program on the Cornwall campus.  Applicants must have demonstrated above average academic achievement and a personal commitment to patient care.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Girls Inc. Limestone Bursary

Available to clients of Girls Inc. Limestone (formerly Big Sisters of Kingston) who are enrolled full-time at St. Lawrence College.  Applicant must be an Ontario resident and demonstrate financial need.

Hansler Smith Limited Bursary

Available to a returning student enrolled full-time in the Business program, on the Brockville Campus. Applicants will have demonstrated above average academic achievement, school and/or community involvement and volunteerism.

Health Sciences Bursary

Awarded to an entrance or returning full-time student on the Cornwall campus enrolled in a Health Sciences program. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Helen Van Dusen Prize

Awarded to a second year Bachelor of Science in Nursing student on the Kingston campus based on excellence in the practice of nursing encompassing an all-round ability as a student nurse in his or her first year, and as a professional.

Helper Award

Awarded to a returning Social Service Worker student on the Cornwall campus whose classmates consider to exemplify the true spirit of the term "helper".  This person is a concerned friend to all, is dependable, has integrity and goes out of their way to assist fellow students personally and/or academically.  He or she may also give up some spare time to volunteer inside or outside the College while maintaining a "C" average or better.

Ian Wilson Bursary

Available to an entrance student enrolled full-time in any Business program on the Kingston campus.  Preference will be given to a graduate of Ernestown Secondary School, have good academic performance, and demonstrated initiative through community and/or school involvement.  Applicants must be an Ontario Resident and demonstrate financial need.

IBEW Local 115 Bursary

Available to an entrance or returning student who is in the Basic, Intermediate or Advanced level of the Electrician Engineering Technician or Electrician - Construction and Maintenance - Apprenticeship Program on the Kingston, Brockville or Cornwall campus who demonstrates maturity in their work ethic and a commitment to pursuing a career as an Electrician.  The recipient must be indentured to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 115, be residents of Ontario and demonstrate financial need.

If I Knew Then....Bursary Award

Available to a returning student enrolled full-time in any program in the School of Business on the Kingston campus.  Applicants will have demonstrated above average academic achievement (minimum B average).  The successful applicant will have exercised excellent networking skills and may have assisted other students in developing their networking skills.   The applicant will describe, in a 500-word essay, how he or she developed relationships with members of the business and general community outside of the college and how the applicant worked to ensure that relationships were beneficial to all involved.  The essay should cite names and organizations and use examples to illustrate claims.  The student should be able to describe depth and quality of relationships, not quantity of relationships or membership in organizations or committees, and to describe the impact of those relationships on the applicant, on the person with whom the applicant has the relationship, and on the college.  The applicant should also describe, if applicable, how he or she assisted other students in developing relationships with members of the business and general community outside of the college, citing examples to support claims.

Available to a Computer Networking & Technical Support student and a Computer Programmer Analyst student in their final year who have maintained full-time status, and who are recognized by their peers as a supportive and helpful student within their program. Applicants must include a fifty word description of how they meet the criteria.

Awarded to a second year student of the Graphic Design Program who has indicated a specific passion for Web Design. The successful recipient will demonstrate above average academic achievement, leadership qualities, innovation and creativity.

Awarded to one student enrolled in their final year of study in the Civil Engineering Program, who has achieved above average academic standing, demonstrated leadership capabilities through a commitment to extracurricular activities in sports, student government or community development. Awarded to a third year Civil Engineering Technology student at the Kingston campus. Student must demonstrate financial need with academic achievement. The recipient will have demonstrated traits of leadership, team work, and strong communication skills over their time at the College.

Available to a Kingston resident who is a graduate of the Limestone District School Board, entering full-time into any Business program at the Kingston Campus and who demonstrates great potential for success, commitment to their academics and leadership at their school or in the community. Jean Bougie Technician Bursary

Available to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in the Carpenter - Apprenticeship, Carpenter - General, Fabricating & Welding, Motive Power Technician or Welding & Fabrication Co-op Diploma Apprenticeship Program at the Cornwall Campus who demonstrates proficiency and interest in drafting. Established in memory of Jessica Morris, this award is presented to a student who has completed their first-year Medical Laboratory Science and has shown potential and a keen interest in the health care diagnostic field through their demonstrated drive, hard work and enthusiasm.  Applicants should provide evidence of these qualities by outlining their personal goals and aspirations and examples of previous personal achievements. John and Elaine McClintock Scholarship Fund

Awarded to a returning student who is perusing their studies in a Health Science, Human Studies or Visual and Creative Arts program on the Brockville campus.  The recipient must have demonstrated academic excellence in their previous year and strong initiative both in their academic program as well as campus events.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Joyce Family Foundation Ed Lumley Bursary

Available to entrance students who are applying directly out of high school or have been out of high school no longer the one year. Applicants must reside in the three communities and counties surrounding St. Lawrence College's campuses. Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial need and be willing to seek out a mentor which they will report on yearly.

Awarded to two returning Business students on Brockville or Kingston campuses of St. Lawrence College who has shown a commitment to the community through volunteering, or is active in the College community.

Ken W. Bucci Memorial Bursary

This bursary is awarded to a Civil Engineering Technology student who is either returning to the program or, is in their final semester at SLC and will be continuing their education at Queen's university - specifically in the bridging program with Queen's Civil Engineering program.  The successful applicant must be a mature student who has been out of high school for at least two years (prior to beginning their studies at St. Lawrence College). In addition to financial need, the student must have demonstrated a strong commitment to self-improvement through academic participation, leadership, and generosity within the civil program and community at large. Applicants are to provide a brief description (250 words) of their personal history and future goals.

Available to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in the Energy Systems Engineering Technician or Technology Program on the Kingston campus.  Applicants must have demonstrated above average academic achievement and a passion for sustainable energy through involvement in school and/or community projects.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Available to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in any program who has either benefited from membership with the club, served as part-time staff, or contributed to the positive development of youth through volunteer activities with the association.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need for the bursary.

Awarded to a returning full-time student pursuing a professional designation or skilled trade and apprenticeships program specific to the construction and building industry at the Kingston campus. Applicants will have demonstrated a strong work ethic and outstanding skill in their first year of studies. Applicants must be residents of Ontario and demonstrate financial need.

Kingston Hydro Award for Sustainable Energy Leadership

Awarded to a returning student enrolled full-time in the Energy Systems Engineering program who has demonstrated above average academic achievement and leadership through supporting sustainable energy education and deployment within the student population and Kingston community.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Kingston Police Chief's Award

Available to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in the Police Foundations Program, on the Kingston Campus, who has demonstrated a commitment to the profession and serves as a role model for his/her peers.  Applicants must be an Ontario Resident and demonstrate financial need.

Kingston Police Leadership Award

Awarded to a second-year Police Foundations student who has displayed leadership qualities, the need  to achieve and continuous improvement throughout their first year. In order to be considered for this award the student must meet the minimum standards as set out by the program and be continuing into second year at St. Lawrence College in Police Foundations.

Available to an entrance or returning student on the Cornwall Campus that strives to make our community a better place.  This student will have committed to over 24 hours of community service per school year in the Cornwall area. The student must be an Ontario resident and demonstrate financial need.

Kinsmen Club of Kingston Award

Available to a student under the age of 24 entering any full-time post secondary program, who is economically disadvantaged (preference will be given to a student who is a single parent, first generation, was a Crown Ward, or who has been the recipient of community services such as their local food bank). Available to an entrance or returning student in the Hotel & Restaurant Management Program at the Kingston Campus who has demonstrated above average academic achievement, community leadership and a commitment to the profession. Lou Tepper Memorial Bursary Fund

The estate of the late Louis H. Tepper Q.C. LSM, a distinguished Trial Lawyer, has established the Louis H. Tepper Memorial Bursary Fund to be available to a mature student, who is entering or returning to any full-time program of study on the Kingston campus.  Applicants should outline their decision to return to school and their future career goals.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Available to a single mother entering any full-time program at St. Lawrence College Kingston campus.  Applicants must be returning to school to further their education following an absence of two or more years from formal education and should outline their personal goals within their application for this award.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Malcolm and Kathleen Munroe Memorial Bursary

Available to a 2nd year student enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program on the Kingston campus based on an outstanding commitment to providing personal and compassionate patient care.

Margaret Craig Education Award

Awarded to a female student enrolled full-time in their final year of study who has demonstrated outstanding ability as a potential educator.  Eligible programs include: Bachelor of Applied Arts - Behavioural Psychology, Behavioural Science Technology, Child & Youth Worker, Early Childhood Education, and Social Service Worker.    Applicants must submit a 500 word letter describing the qualifications and experiences which she considers to make her a worthy candidate for this award.  Please provide the name and contact information of an academic instructor from whom a recommendation may be requested. Financial need should be demonstrated within the application for this award. References can be sent by email with an electronic signature. Award winners will be invited to receive their award at a meeting in January.

Marianne van Silfhout Bursary

Available to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in the Fine Arts Diploma Program, on the Brockville Campus.  Applicants must be Ontario residents (preference given to students from Eastern Ontario) and have demonstrated financial need, thereby without bursary support would not be able to participate in this educational opportunity.  Applicants must be able to exhibit artistic potential.   Returning students must have demonstrated contribution to school and/or community life through the use of their artistic talents.

Mary Sampson Nursing Bursary

Created in memory of Mary Sampson as an expression of gratitude and respect for palliative care nurses who cared for her during her last days, and to assist students who chose this special calling. Awarded to a Nursing student who has demonstrated a focus on patient care, comfort and dignity. Preference will be given to a student who has expressed an interest in palliative and end-of-life care or has chosen critical practice in hospice or palliative care. Applicant must demonstrate financial need.

Presented to a 2nd or 3rd year student in Business - Marketing or Advertising Program on the Kingston campus who has demonstrated interest in entrepreneurial opportunities.

Metis Nation Bursary

Available to a full-time student with Metis status who has demonstrated leadership both inside and outside the native community.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide documentation of Metis ancestry.

Molly Decarie Memorial Bursary

Awarded to a returning Office Administration - Medical student who demonstrates diligence, hard work, a commitment to their studies and to advancing their lives through their education at the College.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

New Decade Bursary

Presented to a female student who has been a permanent resident of the counties of Leeds & Grenville for two or more consecutive years and is a full-time student in a non-traditional program at St. Lawrence College.  The student must have demonstrated student leadership through college or community involvement and be committed to life long learning.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.  Priority given in order to the Brockville, then Kingston, then Cornwall campuses.

Available to an entrance student enrolled full-time in any Technology or Trade program on the Kingston, Brockville or Cornwall campus.  Applicants must be residents of Leeds and Grenville and demonstrate financial need.

Nick Fisher Memorial Bursary

Established in memory of Nick Fisher, the bursary is presented to a second-year Electrical Engineering Technician student on the Kingston Campus whose quiet leadership and mentoring skills have benefitted their classmates.  The recipient will be someone who does not seek recognition for their efforts, but finds satisfaction in helping others.  Applicants should provide examples of how they have shared their knowledge or skills with others in creating a cooperative and collaborative learning environment.

Noah Ruest Memorial Award

Available to an entrance student enrolled full-time in any program on the Cornwall campus. Applicants must be residents of the City of Cornwall, have overcome adversity to attend college and demonstrate financial need.

Awarded to two students in the Civil Engineering Technology program on the Kingston campus that demonstrate commitment to their industry and financial need. Preference will be given to students that reside from the Ottawa Valley.

OACETT/SLC Alumni Award

Applicants will have been enrolled or will have applied to be enrolled in a Technician or Technologist program recognized by OACETT. A preference will be given to a student who best exemplifies the following key precepts related to integrity and professionalism in the practice of Engineering Technology: desire, willingness and passion for learning, leadership, teamwork, innovative thinking, problem-solving, communication and ethics. Applicants must be an Ontario resident and demonstrate financial need.

Ontario Builders Official Association Land of Lakes Chapter

Awarded to a returning student in the Civil Engineering Technology Program who displays proficiency in the use of the Ontario Building Code, displays positive interpersonal skills and has a GPA of at least 3.0.

Patricia & Bernard Colfe Aboriginal First Generation Bursary

Available to full-time Aboriginal First Generation students, an Ontario Resident with demonstrated financial need;  To be eligible for the Bursary, a student must self-identify as an Aboriginal person. For the purposes of this bursary, an Aboriginal person in Canada, as recognized in the Constitution Act, 1982, is a person who identifies with First Nations (Status/Non-Status), Métis, or Inuit cultural and/or ancestral background.  To be eligible for the Bursary, a student must be an individual whose parents have not attended postsecondary studies or attended without graduating. Siblings may have attended postsecondary studies.   Second and subsequent year students will have a good academic standing and will have made a contribution to their program (e.g., provided assistance to faculty, shown collegiality and mentorship to peers); and,  Bursary may be renewed for qualified students who successfully complete each year of their program.  Successful applicants are requested to provide a letter of thanks to the donor.

Awarded to an outstanding Practical Nurse student on the Brockville campus who has shown care and concern for clients while on placement at the Perth and/or Smiths Falls District Hospital and is planning to further studies in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program.

Awarded to a first year, mature student, who comes into St. Lawrence College, Cornwall Campus, to further their education & training in a full-time program of study.

Pittsburgh Community Benefit Fund Bursary

Available to selected applicants who currently reside in, or whose parents currently reside in, the former Pittsburgh Township geographic area (as the boundaries existed in 1997) and who have demonstrated financial need.  Applicants must provide specific address information for parental residence.

Pleasure to Teach Faculty Award - Social Services Worker

Awarded to a returning Social Service Worker student on the Cornwall campus who is a "pleasure to teach" based on good attendance, consistently shows enthusiasm for learning and makes ongoing efforts to contribute to classroom discussions. He or she always makes a solid effort in preparing for tests, term papers and assigned projects.

Available to an entrance student enrolled full-time in the Paramedics program, on the Cornwall Campus.  Available to a mature student (24 yrs +) who has been out of school for a period of time and has demonstrated a passion for their field and/or overcome obstacles to enroll in College. Applicants must be a resident of Ontario and demonstrate financial need.

Profile Kingston Award

Available to a student in Advertising - Integrated Marketing Communications entering final year. Applicants will have demonstrated above average academic standing and extra curricular activities in Kingston.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Ralph R. Finsten Memorial Award

Awarded to a student entering the final year of the Veterinary Technology Program based on positive attitude, school spirit, consistent effort and the second highest average marks in second year.

Remax Cornwall Bursary

Applicants must be registered in their first or subsequent year as full-time students in the School of Health Sciences, Cornwall campus.  Preference will be given to students who demonstrate a clear commitment to college or community volunteerism.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need in accordance with the guidelines stipulated by St. Lawrence College.

Retired Business Faculty Award

Awarded to two students who are in financial need, active in student affairs and have experienced personal and professional growth, and a willingness to help their fellow students. Must demonstrate financial need and be an Ontario resident.

Richard Eamon Family Bursary

Available to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in the Environmental Technician program on the Cornwall campus. Applicants must be an Ontario resident and demontrate finanical need.

Ron Robinson Bursary

Awarded to a returning student in engineering technology or trades on the Kingston campus who is considered a student leader among his or her peers and has achieved above average academic standing.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Rotary Club of Cataraqui - Kingston Bursary

Available to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in any program on the Kingston campus who has demonstrated above average academic achievement, commitment to volunteerism and community service. Applicants must be an Ontario resident and demonstrate financial need.

Rotary Club of Cornwall Award

Available to a returning student who has maintained full-time status and demonstrates the motto of the Rotary, "service above self", through participation in their community. Consideration is given to a student in financial need.

Roy Olsen Memorial Bursary

Awarded to a student entering their final year of studies on the Brockville campus; based on demonstrated commitment to their education, leadership through involvement in college activities and above average academic standing in previous years.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Ryan Taylor Memorial, School of Business Bursary

This bursary is available to a January intake entrance student enrolled full-time in any Business Program at the Kingston Campus. Preference will be given to a student who is a single parent, first generation, was a Crown Ward, or who has been the recipient of community services such as their local food bank. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and be residents of Ontario.

Scotiabank Cornwall Bursary

Presented to a full-time entrance or returning at the Cornwall Campus who wishes to pursue international co-op or placement. Preference will be given to students in the School of Business. Students must demonstrate financial need & be Ontario residents.

Sherry Burke Memorial Bursary

Awarded to a mature student in financial need who has returned to college to study Nursing on the Cornwall campus after being away from school for an extended period of time.  Applicants should outline personal circumstance within their application for this award. Applicants must be an Ontario resident and have finanical need.

SLC Aboriginal Bursary

Available to an Indigenous student of any program on the Cornwall campus. Applicant must demonstrate finanical need.

Smart Serve Hospitality & Tourism Bursary

Awarded to a returning Hospitality and Tourism Management student who has demonstrated above average academic achievement, a passion for the tourism industry and proven ability to deliver outstanding hospitality and service.  Applicants must have Smart Serve Certificate, be an Ontario resident and demonstrate financial need.

St. Lawrence River Institute Entrance Bursary

Awarded to first-year or second-year student in the Environmental Technician program who has shown a keen interest in the field of research, testing and sustainability of ecosystems and natural habitats.  The recipient will have shown academic potential in secondary studies and a demonstrated commitment to their study of the environment through one or more of the following: previous school assignments, research activities, participation in science fairs, community projects, etc.  Applicants must be a resident of Ontario and demonstrate financial need. Available to a returning Business student on the Kingston campus who has maintained full-time status with a GPA of 3.0 or above and demonstrated a commitment to their studies through exceptional effort, support of fellow students and active participation in all aspects of their program. Available to a student from the Leeds & Grenville area entering the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program on the Brockville Campus.  Applicants must be an Ontario Resident and demonstrate financial need.

Student Administrative Council Life's Needs Award

Awarded to a returning student on the Brockville campus who has maintained full-time status, demonstrated student leadership through participation in student government, athletics or volunteering in the community.  Applicants should outline personal circumstance and how they would benefit from financial assistance.

Support Staff Local 419 Award

Awarded to a student on the Cornwall campus who best exemplifies a strong sense of professionalism and work ethic that includes accepting responsibility, meeting deadlines, working productively with peers and fostering an environment of mutual acceptance and respect.

TD Bursaries in Environmental Sciences

Presented to a full-time entrance student in the Environmental Technician program. Applicants must exhibit above average grades and demonstrate financial need.  The bursary will be renewed at the end of the first year, provided the student continues in the Environmental Technician program and maintains an above average academic standing.

Team Cornwall Community Award

Available to an entrance student enrolled full-time in any program on the Cornwall campus.  Applicants must be residents of the City of Cornwall or Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry County, demonstrate above average academic achievement and contribution to community service.

Terri McDade Dual Credit Student Bursary

Available to an entrance student who has successfully completed a PASS Dual Credit program at St. Lawrence College and are planning to attend any full-time program at any SLC campus. Recipient must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to a student who is the first generation of their family to attend post-secondary.

The Amazing Award

The Amazing Award recognizes students who go above and beyond to assist their fellow classmates in either their academic studies or performances, or in providing support, motivation and encouragement.

The Benson Group Bursary

Available to an entrance or returning student enrolled full-time in the Motive Power Technician or Automotive Service Apprenticeship at the Cornwall Campus who demonstrates proficiency and interest in the trades. Applicants must also be Ontario residents and demonstrate financial need.

The Calvin Bansfield Bursary

Created in honour of Calvin Bansfield, a long-time professor in mathematics at SLC, the bursary is available to a student of Afro-Caribbean descent, enrolled in any diploma program on the Kingston Campus. Preference will be given to a student in a Business or Technology program. The recipient must demonstrate financial need.

The Collins Barrow Business Award

Awarded to a returning student in the School of Business with strong academic standing. Preference will be given for students in the Bachelor of Business Administration program, on the Kingston Campus. Student must demonstrate financial need.

The Dame Sylvia Burkinshaw D St. J R.N. Memorial Bursary

Available to returning students enrolled full-time in a Nursing Program at the Kingston Campus. Applicants will have demonstrated academic achievement and a commitment to the objects and purposes of The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem namely: The encouragement of all that makes for the spiritual and moral strengthening of humankind in accordance with the first great principle of the Order embodied in the Motto "Pro Fide"; and The encouragement and promotion of all work of humanity and charity for the relief of persons in sickness, distress, suffering or danger, without distinction of race, class or creed and the extension of the second great principle of the Order embodied in the Motto "Pro Utilitate Hominum". The Dayna Sparkes Memorial Fund

Created in memory of Dayna Sparkes, and awarded to a student whose warmth and generous spirit is evident in working with others, and whose natural empathy will ensure a future career as a caring and compassionate RPN. Preference will be given to a student who is working to achieve their goals while managing a chronic illness.

The Fitness & Health Emerging Professional Award

Awarded to a returning student in the fitness and Health Promotion program who demonstrates extraordinary effort and commitment to their future career in fitness and health promotion. Preference will be given to a mature student.

The George & Dorothy Foster PSW Bursary

Available to a PSW student who exhibits a commitment to patient care and dignity. Preference will be given to a mature student.

The Hudson Burnbrae Foundation Award

Available to a first year Bachelor of Science Nursing student demonstrating financial need. This foundation was established in 1973 by the Hudson family and their family business, Burnbrae Farms as per the wishes of Mareta Hudson. Her sister, Lillian Hudson was a nurse who ended her long career as the Dean of Public Health at Columbia University where she had taught for over 30 years. One of her many achievements was to lead a delegation to China post WW2 to assist them in setting up a public health system. She was at the forefront of the establishment of nursing as a regulated, respected profession.

The Ken Weston Theatre Arts Bursary

Awarded to MTP student who is passionate about Music Theatre and has shown positive leadership skills both inside and outside the theatre community. Must be an Ontario resident and demonstrate financial need.

The Ken Weston Theatre Arts Prize

Awarded to a 3rd year student in the Music Theatre Performance Program who is demonstrates leadership in their program and creativity in play writing.

The Masonic Foundation of Ontario Bursary

Awarded to a returning student on any campus who has encountered unforeseen financial difficulties which imperils the successful completion of their education.

The Pat Lumley Nursing Award

Awarded to a resident of Cornwall, Stormont, Dundas or Glengarry area who is a full-time student on the Cornwall campus enrolled in the nursing program who demonstrates a passion for the profession and the community in which they practice.   Preference will be given to a single parent.   Student will have to be an Ontario resident and demonstrates financial need.

The Reid Award in Leadership and Community Service

Awarded to a mature student in second or third year on the Kingston campus who has demonstrated leadership qualities in school and/or through volunteer activities in their community. Must have maintained a passing grade. Applicants should describe their decision to return to school and career aspirations.

The Robert Weston Family Bursary

Awarded to a student enrolled in a Skilled Trades Program at the Kingston Campus.  Preference will be given to the Culinary Program, the Hairstylist Program or other similar program. Applicants must be an Ontario resident and demonstrate financial need.

The Ryan Beaumaster Memorial Award

Created in memory of Ryan Beaumaster (Music & Digital Media, 2015), whose love for music was only surpassed by his caring and generous nature. Awarded to a Music & Digital Media student whose kindness and generosity has made a positive impact on the program and its students. Student must demonstrate financial need, and preference will be given to a mature student.

Available to an entrance student enrolled full time in any program of St. Lawrence College at the Kingston Campus. Applicants will have overcome adversity to attend college and demonstrate financial need.

In memory of Tan Shu Tien for her passion and love of education, awarded to a returning student in a science, technology, trades or engineering program on the Kingston campus that exhibits ambition and tenacity through high academic achievement and community involvement. Tim Reid Memorial Bursary

Awarded to an entrance student in the Electrical Engineering Technology program who has chosen post-secondary education as a means to make a positive impact on their future. Applicant must describe any community involvement and/or volunteer activity (not necessarily in a formal role) that demonstrates their commitment to bettering the environment and self, and the goals they hope to realize through pursuing their college education. Applicant must demonstrate financial need.

Tom and Gail Kaneb Family Foundation Bursary

This bursary is available to two entrance or returning full-time students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program and Environmental Technician Program at the Cornwall Campus. The successful applicants will have demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit through classroom activities, volunteer work or other initiatives. Applicants must be residents of Ontario and demonstrate financial need.

Tyrone Wilson and Gary Rutley Memorial Award

Established in the memory of Tyrone Wilson and Gary Rutley, the bursary is awarded to a returning full-time student in the Pre-Service Firefighter Program devoted to pursuing a career in a "helping" profession, as demonstrated through classroom or communtiy involvement.

Vera Blanchard Black Nursing Award

Awarded to a returning Bachelor of Science in Nursing student on the Brockville campus who has demonstrated proficiency in obstetrical nursing and has excelled academically as well as in field placement. Must be an Ontario resident and have financial need.

Volker Thomsen New Canadian Opportunities Bursary

Available to an entrance student enrolled full-time in any program or apprenticeship on the Kingston, Brockville or Cornwall campus.  The candidate must be a New Canadian (first or second generation), a Permanent Resident (landed immigrant), who has lived in Ontario for the past 12 months.  Applicants should explain their eligibility for this award by outlining their previous country of residence.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Awarded to one entrance Law Clerk student who demonstrates a strong interest and passion to work in the legal field as well as a student who demonstrates financial aid.
