Booking Individual Exams Written During Test Centre Hours

Proctoring Services & Invigilation Requests

St. Lawrence College Test Centre offers proctoring services to students writing examinations for external colleges, universities, or government agencies. It is important for students to note that their registered institution will have a proctor request procedure in place. This will require the student to ensure that St. Lawrence College is a recognized test centre and is approved for their testing needs. * Please note that it is the student’s responsibility to meet the needs of the proctor information that is required from their registered institution.

To fill in the required proctor information, please contact your desired campus by phone or e-mail in order to complete your request (note that most request forms will require a proctor signature. Fax numbers and e-mails can be found under our Contact Information).

Fees & Payee Responsibility

Students who are writing for an external institution are subject to the following proctoring fee: a $75.00 flat fee per exam.

Depending on the college/university supplying the exam, students may be responsible for covering the cost of the proctor. Please check in with your registered college/university in order to determine who is responsible for the payment.

It is recommended that students also inquire about the possibility of a postage fee. If their registered college/university does not provide pre-paid return postage, students may be subject to a $12.00 courier fee (or $50.00 for International courier) at the completion of their exam.

Apprenticeship & Trade Exemption Testing

Students on the Kingston campus who are looking to write an examination for the Apprenticeship & Trade Exemption office may register for their examination through Kourtney Dunlop in the School of Skilled Trades & Tourism. Kourtney may be reached at 613-544-5400 ext. 1373 or kdunlop@sl.on.ca.

TSSA Certification Testing

Debbie may be reached at 613-544-5400 ext. 1670 or DBaker@sl.on.ca. Students should note that TSSA examinations must be ordered at least two weeks prior to their desired write date. Students will also be subject to two separate testing fees (TSSA registration/testing fee as well as the Test Centre proctor fee).

Note: For students writing at the Cornwall campus, please contact Melissa Longtin in the School of Online and Continuing Education. Melissa may be reached at 613-933-6080 ext. 2202.
